Let me start this post by wishing you a happy December! I know it’s quite late for that, but who excited for December? ME! It’s exactly fifteen more days to kick off 2019 and meet January 2020. For a long time, apart from September, December has always been my favorite month. Christmas is here and New Year will be a few days after. And the happiest thing for me, of course, the long holiday!
I have some holiday wishlist that I can’t wait to complete too. Spending some day relaxing at a cafe, binge read other blogs, study Japanese, read books, explore the city and all of the fun stuff. For most, I wanted to catch up with my blogs and update as much as I can. Even though it’s only a two weeks holiday, I want to compensate for my lack of presence here.
Honestly, even right now, I still wonder how my blog will be. I wanted to share a lot, but somehow the blogging rules struck me almost every moment before I hit publish. One of them is the importance of having a ‘niche’. I’m sure we all know this especially if you have a blog or just starting out, this famous word has been repetitive all year round.
For a long time, I struggled to figure out my own. I always wonder what topics will be suitable for me to write. Should I be personal? Diary like? Helpful? Inspirations? These questions keep popping every now and then. But you know what, that’s okay. I’ve read tons of bloggers who don’t just stick to a certain niche but still doing great.
To tell you the truth, I find this rule is intimidating to follow. I know it’s easy to feel overwhelmed with options, but it’s shouldn’t be the reason to take the joy out of it. That’s why for now, even without a proper niche…yet, and I’m totally fine with it. I want to write more of what I love and learn how to assemble words and understand each of them properly.
It’s really a bliss to have few moments off from work and focus on the non-related-work. Let’s see what blog post will be up next!
